  • Adaptive Kickball

    Come play kickball and meet new friends! This is a great opportunity for individuals ages 18 and over with disabilities to learn new skills and have tons of fun playing kickball. Equipment will be provided. Games will take place at the Stillwater Middle School Field. New to kickball - no problem! This class gives people with disabilities the opportunity to learn the basics of kickball. For those who can’t kick, we will offer a variety of ways to “kick” the ball – everyone is welcome! Please note in the registration if your athlete requires a buddy to help them throughout the game and/or if you are interested in volunteering. ** Indoor ADA restrooms are available. Caregivers are asked to stay if your family member may need assistance with personal care needs.

  • Adaptive Pottery - Make a Gift for Mother's Day

    Get ready to get creative and hands on! In this fun and welcoming class, you'll use hand-building techniques to make a gift for Mother's Day or for someone special in your life. This class will be focused on making a vase that can be used for a flower arrangement. Consider registering for our flower arranging class on Thursday, May 8th. Once your masterpiece is complete, you'll glaze it to bring it to life.
  • Adult Pottery - Hand Building & Wheel Instruction with Stoneware Clay

    In this three session class, participants will be introduced to basic techniques of hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel, and glazing. Using stoneware clay and earth tone glazes, participants will create pieces of art using an electric wheel, slab roller and extruder. The first two sessions are devoted to creating and the last session will focus on glazing. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Central Services Building. Both new and returning students are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or towel. A $35 supply fee is due to the instructor at the beginning of class.

    Adult Private Tennis Lessons

    Learn the life-long sport of tennis through private lessons with Stillwater’s Head Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis Coach David Kahl. Private lessons will be tailored toward your game and what you need to develop to become a better tennis player. Pricing is for 1 hour sessions. One or more private lessons can be scheduled with Coach Kahl. Upon registration, please email kahld@stillwaterschools.org to schedule the private lesson(s). Each participant must provide their own tennis racket. Tennis balls are provided.
  • Adult Softball Leagues

    Softball Leagues are available to post-high school adults. Spring/Summer online registration must be completed by Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Past participating teams will receive 2025 information via email. New teams interested in joining a league can visit us at www.stillwaterschools.org/ce to download the online registration form/roster. The season begins in early May and ends in August. 12 regular season games plus playoffs Games for all leagues are played at Lily Lake Park in Stillwater. Complete game schedule will be distributed at the Manager's meeting a week before the first games.   • Adult Tennis Group Lessons

    Start your day with a cardio workout through tennis drills. Individuals will be grouped by ability level focusing on rules and strategy while developing and improving a variety of tennis skills. This class will be taught in a group format and is available to adult tennis players of all abilities. Each participant must provide their own tennis racket. Tennis balls will be provided. In the event of rain outs, July 19 is scheduled as a rain make-up date.
  • Adult/Child Pottery Workshop Sampler

    This class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this family pottery workshop sampler, participants will use a slab roller, extruder, and an electric pottery wheel. Students ages 8 and up will make a variety of projects for friends and family members. Participants will also use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Central Services Building. There's a $25 supply fee per person due to the instructor at the beginning of class. **Please register each person individually, must be at least 8 years old**

    Advanced Beginner Pickleball Lessons

    Improve your basic skills and strategy in this series of classes. Students will learn alternate shots that will expand their skills. Doubles game strategy will be emphasized more in this class compared to the Beginner Lessons. The last 30 minutes of the course will be organized play. Participants can bring their own paddle or borrow one from the PAC. Prerequisites: Understands the rules of pickleball Gets in at least half of all serve attempts Gets at least half of return of serves deep and to middle of opponent's court

    Clinics provide group instruction focused on specific skills and based on your level of play. Each clinic will offer instruction, tips and tactics of play around those skills. Jan 11, 22, Apr 8 - Kitchen Play Jan 18, 24, Apr 10 - Transition Zone Jan 29, Apr 15 - Serving & Returning Jan 31, Apr 17 - All Around Level Up Specific Clinic Descriptions 1. KITCHEN PLAY - Dinking with emphasis on purpose, techniques, shifting and strategies. -Volleying with emphasis on punch volleys, roll volleys and reset volleys -Speed ups at the kitchen -Lobs and retrieval of lobs 2. TRANSITION ZONE - Emphasis on using drives and drop shots to transition from the baseline to the kitchen line. -Utilizing resets from the transition zone to move up to the kitchen. -Determine when to transition from the baseline to the kitchen and when to stay back. -We would play the 7-11 game in this session. 3. SERVING AND RETURNING - Serving with emphasis on speed, placement and variety to keep the returning team guessing -Return of service with emphasis on depth, placement and spin -Overhead smashes and retrieval (Survivor game) 4.     Learn the basics of decorating your own cakes. We’ll learn shell borders, stars, rosettes, writing, and many ways to decorate your cake beautifully. Each student will take home their own 8" boxed cake to enjoy. The registration fee includes the supply fee. There will be optional starter kits available for purchase from the instructor for an additional $12.00. (Gluten, nuts, and other ingredients will be used during this class.)
