  • Adult-Child Paint Date

    Enjoy a fun “paint date” for you and your partner age 8+. Experience a fun and relaxing environment with the challenge of a class guided by a professional artist. Each individual will work on a different side of a canvas at the same time as their partner. When the two sides join at the end of class, you will have one complete artwork. Fun in the Snow. All materials will be provided. A $20 supply fee (per pair) due to the instructor at class.
  • Adult/Child Holiday Pottery Workshop

    This class is for those who love to create things with their hands. During this family pottery workshop, participants can use a slab roller, extruder, or an electric pottery wheel to create holiday pottery gifts. Participants will use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the Central Services Building. There's a $15 supply fee per person due to the instructor at the beginning of class. **Please register each person individually, must be at least 8 years old**

Students ages 8 and up will make a variety of projects for friends and family members. Participants will also use a variety of colors to glaze their pieces at the end of class. Each ornament can reflect the same color scheme or each ornament can be a different color scheme. Totally your choice! The ornaments are painted on the inside so the colors will last forever.   • Intro to Swing Dances

    East Coast Swing has two rhythm and timing variations: single-time and triple-time, which allows it to be danced to either slow or fast music! We’ll teach you to recognize the difference and be able to dance both! East Coast Swing is more commonly danced to Big Band and 50’s Rock & Roll music. (No lifts or aerials will be taught in this class). We will introduce the most common basic patterns using both tempos of music.
  • Pickleball Tournament

    Stillwater Area Public Schools Community Education Department is hosting the Cabin Fever Classic Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, January 11 and Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Stillwater Area High School in the Pony Activity Center which features 10 indoor pickleball courts. Location: Stillwater Area High School Pony Activity Center, 5701 Stillwater Boulevard North, Stillwater, MN 55082. Enter Door 11 W by the Pony Stadium entryway Dates: Saturday, January 11 and Sunday, January 12, 2025 Cost: $30 per player for the first event, $5 for each additional event, tournament t-shirt included in fee. Tournament Format: The tournament format will consist of a minimum of 3 pool play games followed by single elimination tournament play (best 2 of 3 games) based on pool ranking. If pools are uneven we may alter to more pools games with limited teams advancing to bracket play. All games are officiated by the individuals playing and must make their own calls. This is an unsanctioned tournament. Men’s and Women’s will play Saturday, January 11. Women's Competition will begin between 8am-11:00am and the Men's competition could start between 9:00am-1:00pm depending on the number of registered teams. Mixed Doubles will play Sunday, January 12. Start times vary between 8am-1pm depending on the number of registered teams. Competition in men’s, women’s and mixed will be offered at 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, divisions. Mixed will also have 50+ divisions. Teams are self-ranked according to USAPA criteria. Tournament Director has the right to reclassify and combine divisions if necessary due to number of teams. Registration: Registration opens October 28th, 2024 and will close Jan. 5, 2025 at 10 AM. Each player needs to have their own separate online registration and payment. The first registration should be $30. You can register for the second event by going into the new event and selecting the $5 registration fee. There is a $5 processing fee if cancelled before January 5th, 2025. There is no refund after January 5th, 2025 as t-shirts and brackets will be created and modifications to the brackets must be made.     Private Pickleball Lessons

    Do you want to improve your pickleball game? Individual or small group private lessons will help your skills, strategy and rating level. During the one-hour session, participants will be coached through skill repetition and drills specific to improve your pickleball game. Prior to registering for small group training, please make sure you have discussed specific training dates and times that would work best for your group. Once all individual(s) have registered for the private lessons, you will be contacted by the instructor to choose some dates and times for the lessons. Once these are confirmed with Community Education, your instructor will confirm with you. Some instructors may suggest 1.5 hour lessons based on availability.     *Location Change - This class will be held at the Gladstone Community Center located at 1945 Manton Street in Maplewood.* Learn how to make your own popular sugar cookies! In this class, you will learn how to decorate fancy sugar cookies using rolled icing and will take home a box of 12 cookies. You can create your own cookies for your next special occasion. The registration fee includes the cost of supplies.

Facial exercises can take years off your appearance by reducing frown and forehead lines, reducing ‘puppet mouth’ lines, lifting and firming neckline, making upper and lower cheeks fuller, reduce puffiness and sagging around eyes, improve circulation and nutrient flow into cells and improve lymph circulation. Learn simple exercises that will rejuvenate your face. You will need a regular teaspoon for a few of the exercises and a little of your favorite facial moisturizer.
