Taking to the skies with a drone is easier than you think. We'll cover everything from the basics of drone types (including DIY builds) to key FAA rules and regulations, so you can fly legally with confidence. You’ll also get tips on choosing the right drone, and how to register it and get certified. Weather permitting, there will be a live demo. If you already have a drone, bring it along!
Age 8+ with adult or 18+ (all participants must register)
I have been flying drones for several years and am a Licensed FAA Part 107 e.g. commercial UAS/Drone pilot, as well as licensed by state of Minnesota MNDOT for both a drone and aerial photography. In addition to practical experience, as well as certifications, I have also taught seminars, classes, done presentations on technology topics around the world from class room settings to lecture halls, as well as online via webinars and videos.
