Teaching Self-Regulation to Young Children at Home

Thursday, Nov. 6th- 800-28A

Big feelings are a natural part of growing up, but learning how to manage them takes time, guidance, and patience. In this parent discussion, we’ll explore how to support young children as they develop the essential skill of self-regulation.

We’ll talk about what self-regulation looks like at different ages, why it’s so important for emotional and social development, and how parents can respond to meltdowns, impulsivity, and frustration in ways that build resilience and connection.

You’ll leave with practical tools for teaching calming strategies, setting supportive boundaries, and helping your child name and navigate their emotions—all while feeling more confident in your role as a steady guide.

This is a welcoming space to share stories, ask questions, and grow together in the parenting journey.
