  • Adaptive Kickball

    Come play kickball and meet new friends! This is a great opportunity for individuals ages 18 and over with disabilities to learn new skills and have tons of fun playing kickball. Equipment will be provided. Games will take place at the Stillwater Middle School Field. New to kickball - no problem! This class gives people with disabilities the opportunity to learn the basics of kickball. For those who can’t kick, we will offer a variety of ways to “kick” the ball – everyone is welcome! Please note in the registration if your athlete requires a buddy to help them throughout the game and/or if you are interested in volunteering. ** Indoor ADA restrooms are available. Caregivers are asked to stay if your family member may need assistance with personal care needs.

    Do you love to create things with your hands? If so, join us and use hand-building techniques to make a gift for Father's Day or for someone special in your life. Create and glaze the object you create.
  • Adaptive Pottery - Make a Gift for Mother's Day

    Get ready to get creative and hands on! In this fun and welcoming class, you'll use hand-building techniques to make a gift for Mother's Day or for someone special in your life. This class will be focused on making a vase that can be used for a flower arrangement. Consider registering for our flower arranging class on Thursday, May 8th. Once your masterpiece is complete, you'll glaze it to bring it to life.

    Do you want to put together a beautiful arrangement for Mother's Day or to give to someone special? If so, this class is for you. Come and learn the basics of design. Choose your own flowers and design your own arrangement to take home. All materials will be provided. (Consider registering for our Adaptive Pottery, Make a Vase class on April 19th and make a vase for your arrangement).

    Get ready to move your feet and sing along to the classic hits of ABBA in this lively line dance class! Enjoy an hour filled with laughter and rhythm as you learn fun dance steps that will have you twirling and grooving all night long. No partner needed—just bring your energy and enthusiasm, and let the music take you away! Caregivers are welcome to participate at no additional charge but must register. Our adults with disabilities, adaptive programs are designed to meet the unique needs of those that are 18 years or older with special needs. These program move at a pace that is flexible in order to meet the needs of those participating in the class. We are proud to be partnering with Valley Friendship to provide an outstanding experience for all involved.

Recipes and resources will be provided.
  • Valley Friendship Club viewing of Beauty and The Beast

    Our adults with disabilities, adaptive programs are designed to meet the unique needs of those that are 18 years or older with special needs. We are proud to be partnering with Valley Friendship to provide an outstanding experience for all involved. Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the classic story that tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. The production will be at Stillwater Middle School, located at 523 West Marsh Street in Stillwater. Tickets will be held at the box office for pickup prior to the performance.
