A band and orchestra summer enrichment opportunity for beginning instrumentalists entering 5th grade.Beginning a band or orchestra instrument in the Stillwater Area Schools this fall? Sign up for Instrument Explosion! The end of summer is a great time to start with few distractions. This four day camp, led by seasoned district educators and skilled instructors from the community, will introduce participants to the foundational basics of band and/or orchestra. On the last day, there will be two short concerts (one for band and one for orchestra) for students to showcase what they've learned so far. Then they'll be ready to start the school year on the right note! No prior experience or knowledge is necessary to join the band or orchestra. Students will receive a daily lesson and note reading instruction. Anyone who is signed up by May 30, 2025 is guaranteed a spot. Any registrations received after May 30 will be approved based on instructor and space availability.
