    Serve freshly baked bread in less than 1 hour. Whether for a memorable weekend breakfast, brunch, or teatime, to accompany a salad/soup, or for another occasion, hot-from-your-oven breads are wonderful. Muffins (and their larger-sized quick breads) may be sweet and savory. Adjust the baking time (less than 30 minutes) for muffins to less than 1 hour for quick breads, and a single recipe yields both! We’ll feature remarkable recipes to taste in class and take home PLUS tips, techniques, and equipment to ensure success every time. Recipes include Blueberry, Cinnamon Crunch, Bran-Corn, Dried Cherry, Fresh Ginger, Golden Raisin, Maple Sour Cream, Slice Fresh Lemon plus Flavored Butters, and a variety of Glazes/Toppings. Popovers are perfect served alone or insert your favorite filling to create a special meal. And, of course, expect to learn all the valuable tips to ensure success every time! A $13 supply fee due to the instructor at the beginning of class.
  • Virtual - California Sushi Roll Extravaganza!

    When it comes to actual sushi that is made with sushi grade raw fish such as salmon or tuna wrapped in rice and seaweed, the sushi tolerance spectrum runs from a very strong “YES” or a very strong “NO” with little wiggle room in between. Enter California “sushi” Rolls that overwhelmingly turn the strong “NO’s” into strong yeses! Join Tess as she walks you through how to make a variety of the most marvelous California rolls that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried to make your own before. California “sushi” roll combinations are only limited by your imagination! Make them vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not, it is totally up to you. Learn the skill of creating delicious seasoned sushi rice, spicy mayo, and how to stuff, wrap/shape the rolls, with wonderful filling ingredients. One of these fillings is a “crab” salad that will be created using crab sticks. Make it a date night or family night as you create lasting memories in your kitchen! Ingredients/supplies if you wish to order or shop early for some ingredients: Sushi rice, sushi nori/seaweed sheets, toasted sesame oil, (Japanese) rice vinegar. Additional ingredients will be listed in the packet that will be received 5-7 days prior to the class. A Bamboo sushi rolling mat can be helpful but not necessary. Have your questions answered by the instructor, interact with other participants, and increase your confidence in the kitchen with each skill that is learned, and each little bit of advice and instruction that is shared. While cooking-along is loads of fun, and highly recommended, it is optional. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and preparation.     Apart from cheese and toppings, homemade dough and sauce are the key ingredients used to create mouthwatering pizza of course! But… what are the key ingredients to make the homemade dough and sauce? HOW MUCH of each ingredient? HOW are they put together to create a variety or magical pizza options? Known as the Pizza Master “Pizzaiolo” in her family and community, our instructor Tess will help answer these questions as she guides you in her latest Pizza class where you will create a fantastic FLATBREAD PIZZA and Pizza Panini from scratch! If you are part of a pizza loving family, this class is for you! Dive into the world of pizza making and join the ever-growing number of participants that have enjoyed Tess’ fun-filled cook-along pizza classes and experience for yourselves why participants keep coming back for more! Take out Pizza may just become a thing of the past! Equipment Needs: A stand mixer is HIGHLY recommended in order to make both homemade doughs. Sheet pans will be used to bake the Panini rolls and flatbread pizza. NO Panini press needed. Two heavy bottom pans can be used in place of a Panini press. Join Tess as she walks you through the process of creating two types of spring rolls bursting with a SYMPHONY of flavors bold and bright enough to wake up any and all taste buds. Choice of meat (chicken or pork) and veggies will fill the CRISPY spring rolls, and fresh veggie and precooked protein of choice will fill the FRESH spring rolls. Two types of wrappers will be used. Participants will be able to customize filling ingredients and seasonings according to their taste or dietary preferences.
