Sushi chef Joseph Tran will take you through the entire process in this hands-on-class. Learn how to make your own homemade Classic Pierogi with homemade dough and filling that will make your taste buds dance for joy! We will also be learning how to cook and freeze these little dumplings that you can make ahead and store for a rainy day. No fancy equipment needed! Participants will receive a list of ingredients ahead of time to allow time for shopping and prep. Have your questions answered by the instructor and interact with other participants as you cook along.

Once you learn, you will be able to pass on Yin’s lovely, elegant recipe and technique for generations of your own family! Make 4 spring rolls plus take home a bottle of the amazing Bambu' Peanut Sauce.

    Making your own wine is loads of fun and can be as simple or as complicated as you wish to make it. This demonstration will get you started by providing a guided, hands-on experience in the process of making a first rate apple wine. Detailed, written instructions will be provided and you'll be involved in the entire process of sampling, testing and measuring.

    Greek Dinner

    Prepare a scrumptious feast: Soupa Avagolemono (the national soup) which is a lemon flavored chicken soup. Saganaki (a flaming cheese appetizer) plus an eggplant appetizer. Mousaka, made with zucchini is a wonderful variation from the traditional eggplant dish. You will also master spanakopita (spinach rolls) and walnut cake with orange syrup, known as Karidopita. Food costs of $13 is payable to the instructor at class.

    This is an on-line class and the link will be sent the day before class. Homemade sweets and treats are always wonderful around the holidays and throughout the year as well. Add two wonderful treats to your holiday celebration as you learn to create freshly baked homemade cinnamon rolls and luscious, velvety hot cocoa bombs! Make them for your family or for a memorable holiday breakfast or wrap them up with bows and gift them to those you hold dear. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow for enough time to shop and prep.*A cocoa bomb silicone mold will be needed to create the cocoa bombs, which are available at most craft stores as well as online. A minimum of 2 1/4 inch cocoa bomb mold is recommended (3" mold works very well, too).
  • Holiday Cookie Bake & Decorate! Foundations of Royal Icing!

    This is an on-line class and the link will be sent the day before class. Are you looking to start or continue a holiday cookie baking and decorating tradition? Join this family fun holiday cookie class for beginners! Participants will be baking the cookies ahead of time so that they are ready to decorate at the start of class. A list of ingredients and supplies needed for the Royal Icing will be provided at least a week before the class to provide time for shopping and baking. The recipes will include a soft and chewy sugar cookie and a denser crisp sugar cookie. No fancy decorating tips or bags will be needed as we will be using simple plastic sandwich bags to decorate.

    This is an on-line class. Mimi will teach you the time-honored art of creating pasta from scratch. You'll also learn to make a creamy Alfredo sauce to mother your freshly made noodles - a rich and satisfying homemade dish. Pair it with a fresh seasonal garden salad to balance out the meal. You will be provided an ingredient list and a link prior to class.
  • How to Bake Healthy Bread

    Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked bread from your own oven. In this class, you will learn the failure-proof 5-10-5 method of baking bread. Come discover why kneading is FUN and leave class with a batch of delicious healthy bread you made yourself. Students should bring a large bowl, a sturdy spoon or whisk, a pastry cloth or dish towel and one bag each of whole wheat and unbleached flour. All other ingredients will be provided.

    Intermediate Sushi Making

    Take your sushi rolling to the next level by learning to prep and assemble Bambu' Kitchen and Sushi Bar's special chef rolls: Rainbow Roll (snow crab, cucumber, salmon, yellowtail tuna, escolar, red snapper, avocado, and masago mayo) and #9 Roll (shrimp tempura, cucumber, salmon, avocado, eel sauce and spicy mayo). Class includes a special demonstration of how to slice the fish and vegetables, as well as plating and applying the sauce to the rolls. Have no idea as to what a sweet or savory Kolache is? Wonder no more! A Texan Kolache is a wonderful fluffy extra large, mildly sweet baked doughnut, stuffed with choice of sausage and other fillings such as cheese. Generally an oversized gourmet pig-in-a-blanket but unlike any other one you have ever had. A sweet Kolache is a wonderful light cookie traditionally made in European countries around the winter holidays that are filled with preserves and dusted with confectioners' sugar. Both options will become family favorites any time of the year!

    Norwegian Lefse

    Learn the art of making this Norwegian delicacy. Lefse is traditionally served for holidays and special occasions and can be used as a main course or as a dessert. Bring a gallon size food storage bag, dishcloth, and dish towel for clean-up. If you have a rolling pin at home that you would like to try using, you may bring it as well.
