  • Adult and Child Gymnastics

    This adult and child class will focus on basic movements and tumbling skills, body awareness, motor skills, hand-eye coordination, balance and listening. We must have a 1:1 adult/child ratio for this class, therefore an adult must be with EACH child in all classes. Designed for ages 2 - 4 years old. For Gymnastics classes, shorts, t-shirt or a leotard are recommended. Loose fitting clothing, tights, socks and ballet shoes are not recommended. Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail or braid.
  • Adult/Child Class @ Conquer Ninja Gyms

    Family Ninja Classes are for anyone 5 or older! This adult/child class is designed for both adults and kids to get moving and have fun together. You and your ninja will work together to learn how to tackle ninja obstacles, problem-solve courses, and build self-esteem! We have warped walls, angled steps, salmon ladders, cliff hangers, tilted ladders; all Ninja inspired obstacles! If you are looking for something different to do with your child and want to try a unique way to be active, come check this class out! *ALL fitness levels welcome! All classes are coached by an experienced Ninja Trainer. This class will be held at Conquer Ninja Gyms at 707 Commerce Dr Ste 120, Woodbury, MN 55125. Please register the adult and type the name(s) and age(s) of the child when registering.
  • Advantage Education - In Person ACT Preparatory Course

    Advantage Educational Programs, in cooperation with Stillwater Area Community Education, will provide students an opportunity to prepare for the ACT national exam through their In-School ACT Prep Course, Virtual ACT Prep Course, or their Online ACT Prep Course. All three courses are designed for students who want to maximize their ACT score, as well as students who feel uneasy about their test-taking skills or are unsatisfied with results from a previous exam. For questions/information, contact Advantage at 612-222-5108 In-Person ACT Prep Course: Students preferring the traditional teaching format with an in-person instructor should choose this course. It consists of four, three-hour classes meeting at the high school, one day each week. The instructor will present test-taking strategies, critical review, and time management for all testing areas of the ACT. Participants who miss a class will be provided with access to recorded virtual online instruction. All course materials included. We also offer Virtual and Self Paced ACT Prep Courses. Self-Paced Online ACT Prep Course: This course is designed for students who prefer to prepare for the ACT exam on their own schedule and at their own pace. Instruction is pre-recorded and provided online, using videos and slides. Once enrolled, students may use the access code they receive to navigate through the course on their own timeline throughout the year. Upon request, students who are registered for the In-School ACT Prep Course or the Virtual ACT Prep Course can also access this online course at no additional charge.

All three courses are designed for students who want to maximize their ACT score, as well as students who feel uneasy about their test-taking skills or are unsatisfied with results from a previous exam. Virtual ACT Prep Course: The virtual classroom is structured the same as the in-person course. The only difference is the virtual option takes place with an Advantage instructor in an interactive online classroom. Internet connection and access to a computer or tablet is required. Class recordings are available for students who need to make up any missed classes. Topics will include test-taking strategies, critical review, and time management for all testing areas of the ACT.
  • After School Ski and Snowboard

    If a section is full, please sign up for the waitlist. If we have enough on the waitlist we will try to get another bus and open registration again! Middle School After School Ski and Snowboard Club Stillwater Community Education is partnering with Afton Alps to provide an opportunity for non-competitive winter recreation for students in 6-8th grade. The Ski and Snowboard Club will leave SMS and OLMS at 3:00pm for Afton Alps and return to the schools at 8:00pm. Dates are January 8 & 29, February 5, 12 & 26, and March 4. Cost for Afton Alps season pass holders is $105 to cover transportation and supervisor costs, and non-season pass holders is $335 that covers transportation, a lift ticket and supervisor costs. If you need to rent equipment, the cost is $225/all sessions. Contact me and I will get you the form that your child will need to bring to each session for the equipment fitting staff. The form must be filled out before you go to Afton Alps. Registration opens Tuesday, October 2nd, 2024 and closes Friday, January 10, 2025 (or until the busses fill up). Place: Afton Alps Dates: (Mondays) January 13, 2025 January 27, 2025 February 3, 2025 February 10, 2025 February 24, 2025 March 3, 2025 Time: 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm (3:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Afton Alps) Transportation: Busses will leave the SMS Pool Entrance and OLMS North Parking lot at 3:00 pm. They will return to SMS and OLMS in the same location at 8:00 pm. PARENTS MUST PICK UP STUDENTS AT 8:00 PM. Students do not have access to a phone.   • Babysitting 101

    This course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, CPR, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit.

  • Birthday Party at the PAC

    Bring your child and up to fourteen of his/her friends to celebrate their birthday at the Pony Activity Center (PAC). Birthday groups will have access to one gym for 1.5 hours with 30 minute reserved space for cake and refreshments. There will be staff on site to assist with set up/cleanup of equipment and answer any questions you may have during the party. Appropriate supervision of children (at least 2 adults) is required and must be present for the duration of the party. All food and refreshments are provided by the hosting birthday party group. Tables and chairs will be provided for food and refreshments. Latex balloons are not allowed for birthday parties due to allergies. Registration must be completed 14 days prior to party date. Cancellations must be made two weeks prior to the party to receive a refund minus the $5 cancellation fee. All children attending the birthday party will need a signed waiver turned in before the birthday party begins. PAC Birthday Parties are intended for children ages 4-12 years of age. Gym games and activities may include: basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, dodgeball, whiffle ball, football and more. Preschool games and activities are also available.The staff will provide the necessary equipment; the host will organize and direct the party games. Parties available on select Saturdays and Sundays. Cost is $140 per party at the PAC. There is an additional $50 charge for added spaces.     Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth, ages 6-9 of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the tv show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! This 8 weeklong Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions (week 4 and week 8). Class is located at the Conquer Ninja Gyms - Woodbury (707 Commerce Dr. Suite 120, Woodbury, MN 55125)
  • DaVinci Fest Prep Club

    Are you interested in presenting in the science fair and/or science challenge at DaVinci Fest but don’t know how to get started? This club will help you choose a topic, run experiments, collect data, and prepare you for a showcase at the DaVinci Fest. You can choose from a variety of topics within science including engineering, chemistry, robotics, environmental and more... The club is open to students grades 6th-12th from OMS, SMS or SAHS. Students from OMS or SMS can take the activity bus that runs to SAHS after school. Joining the club commits you to presenting your exhibit at the DaVinci Fest on Saturday, January 25th, 2025. The cost of class does not include presentation materials and any extra supplies needed to run experiments. DaVinci Fest is an annual community event celebrating art and science hosted by The Partnership Plan, the education fund for Stillwater Area Public Schools. At its core, it showcases the incredible talents and creativity of the youth who live in the St. Croix River Valley. DaVinci Fest is an all-day event, but the morning consists of 3 fairs: Science, Art and Upcycling. Any students grade 6-12 can enter projects into one or more of the fairs. Projects entered in the fairs are judged against their peers and while students can choose a preferred judging slot, students must be able to be in-person at SAHS to meet the judges on the morning of January 25th, 2025. This course is being offered as a way to assist kids who may want to participate but who don’t know where to start or who just want one-on-one guidance as they prepare their projects.     Grandmasters of Chess 1.1

    Learn, Practice, and Play chess in each class. The {YEL!} Teach It! Practice It! Play It!® method keeps students on track with new chess lessons and puzzles each week as well as guided games and in-class tournaments. Class fee includes ChessKid.com membership for the session. New and returning students are invited.

    LUMOS! Prepare to step onstage, make magic, and cast an enchanting spell over your audience as you create a story that explores mysterious castles and forbidden forests! Each student will discover the power of creativity and performance as they ready their wand and embody their favorite wizard, witch, goblin, or ghost to create an original wizarding story that’s all their own! Through a partnership with The Zephyr Theatre, this theatrical adventure will strengthen each child’s social skills and emotional development. Invent a powerful potion, create spectacular spells, challenge dark wizards (or become one)!!! The choice is yours as you create a spectacular showcase to be presented during the last 30 minutes of the final class. Coming to Andersen Elementary, Lily Lake Elementary, Rutherford Elementary, and Stonebridge Elementary in Winter/Spring 2025!

  • Junior Ponies Gymnastics MAGA

    This class is for gymnasts who have been invited to participate and who are developmentally ready to participate during the upcoming MAGA season (Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association). We will focus on building routines for competition on vault, bars, beam and floor. Participation on this team requires the gymnast to have mastered a specific skill set, therefore all registrations must be approved by the lead coach.

    Join this fun and interactive class that is open to anyone interested in learning more about theatre or improving their theatre skills. Opportunities include: acting techniques, character development, theatre games, creating improvised scenes and developing them into sketch comedy performances. Students may choose to create a performance which will be recorded on the last day and sent to families after the class.
