In the Spotlight: Acting for the Camera! Gr. 6-12TheatreThis class will give students greater confidence acting in front of a camera by focusing on on-camera auditions and performances. Techniques for quick memorization, relaxation under stress, effective audition and cold reading strategies, basic improv techniques related to on-camera acting, and methods for quickly honing in on the emotional truth of a scene will be covered. In the Spotlight: Animal Puppets – Down on the Farm! Gr: K-2TheatreLearn the skill of puppeteering and make a character come to life! This class will involve designing and building your own puppet while creating a character for it and weaving it into a group story. Explore themes like non-verbal communication, voicing different characters, and showing emotions through movement and focus.This class may take place in-person or via Zoom. Each student will receive supplies and instruction to create a puppet of their own that they will keep. The final story will be recorded and sent to families.Winter 2021

In the Spotlight: Hollywood Drive-In Musical! Gr. 3-5TheatreMusical Theatre, dancing, solos! Rehearse a medley of movie musical songs from some of your favorites. We will work on musical theatre choreography, dance technique, singing, and dramatic storytelling. Participants will rehearse in-person or via Zoom. Our intended performance location will take place outdoors for a drive-in audience of families and friends. We will be limiting class sizes to 14 and will try and create additonal sections once we have a new group of 14 so please be sure to register on the waiting list.Winter 2021
