He investigates the nature of childhood, including the need for play and independence in order to grow into competent, thriving adults. Haidt describes how this “great rewiring of childhood” has interfered with children’s social and psychological development. Join us as we discuss the book, reflect on the importance of play, the reasons we may want and not want to include phones in our parenting, and what our intentions are as we transition into parenting adolescents with the use of phones and social media. To reduce the incidence of SBS/AHT The program approaches SBS/AHT and infant abuse prevention by helping parents and caregivers understand the frustrating features of crying in normal, healthy infants that can lead to shaking or abuse.
