Renee Labat graduated from Luther Collegewith a degree in elementary education and a minor in Spanish in 2015, and is currently working on a Masters in Global Public Health at St. Catherine University. She has been working as the youth program coordinator at NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) for the last 6 years, where she coordinates and teaches classes about mental health for youth, parents, and educators. Renee lived with depression for 10 years before getting help, so her favorite part of her job is telling youth living with a mental illness that they are not alone, and they don't have to be afraid to reach out.
