  • Golf - Basic Golf Skills for Adults

    The basic golf skills program is designed around having fun and learning basic techniques on the golf course. This class focuses on providing a deeper understanding of the short game and golf swing. Beginning golfers, infrequent golfers and former golfers are encouraged to participate. Lessons include putting, chipping, pitching and full swing including set up. All students must provide their own clubs.
  • Golf - Master the Short Game

    Mastering putting, chipping and pitching is the quickest way to lower your scores. PGA Master Instructor Dave Cahill will share some secret fundamentals of these essential techniques. Please bring your putter and all pitching wedges and sand wedges to each class. Practice balls are included.
  • Kettlebells & Core

    NOTE: Classes will be offered ONLINE in a Live video with instructor Sara Thompson, and will resume indoors as soon as we are able. Participants must have their own equipment for the virtual class. Contact CE for more details. Strengthen and tone your upper body, legs and core while using a variety of equipment and body weight exercises. In this group setting, you will learn to use kettlebells, resistance bands and body bars safely and effectively. Classes will incorporate the use of the BOSU® and fitness ball to target core and challenge your balance. This workout is a great supplement to your cardio workouts and large muscle training.
  • Nordic Walking Clinic

    Take a simple walk and turn it into a full body workout without feeling like you are working any harder! Nordic walking uses poles to increase your heart rate, burn more calories, strengthen your upper body and create resistance to build better bone density. Poles are provided for this walk and information is available on where to purchase poles of your own for future walks. Give it a try, you will be hooked! Wear comfortable shoes and dress for weather. The class is held outside. Following instructions you will be walking along the Gateway Trail.

STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, lunge and burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. This efficient and challenging total body-workout is a 30 minute class that is focused to help you fit fitness into any schedule.

Zumba Toning sticks can be purchased from instructor prior to first class. Contact CE for more details. A new class for those who want to Zumba, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba® Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you and your muscles stay engaged!

This class is for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves at a lower-intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat and to leave empowered and strong. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a water bottle.
