  • "This is Not a Box"

    Join us for this exciting introductory journey into the theatre arts for Pre-K ages 4 and 5. These classes will emphasize creative play and discovery through theatre art and imagination. Students will explore creative expression and play through a multi-arts approach including theatre and visual art, movement, storytelling and music. We turn this clever book by Antoinette Portis into creative play, along with its counterpart, “This is Not a Stick,” we'll stretch our imaginations to create a play that is way outside the box! A short showcase will be presented at the end of the last class.

    Interested in performing on stage or behind the camera? Learn more about theatre or improve your theatre skills in this fun and interactive environment. Some opportunities may include: acting technique, character development, monologues, scene work, technical theatre, auditioning, masks, stage makeup, puppetry, improvisation, playwriting, and theatre games.
  • Adult and Child Gymnastics

    This adult and child class will focus on basic movements and tumbling skills, body awareness, motor skills, hand-eye coordination, balance and listening. We must have a 1:1 adult/child ratio for this class, therefore an adult must be with EACH child in all classes. Designed for ages 2 - 4 years old. For Gymnastics classes, shorts, t-shirt or a leotard are recommended. Loose fitting clothing, tights, socks and ballet shoes are not recommended. Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail or braid.

    Family Ninja Classes are for anyone 5 or older! This adult/child class is designed for both adults and kids to get moving and have fun together. You and your ninja will work together to learn how to tackle ninja obstacles, problem-solve courses, and build self-esteem! We have warped walls, angled steps, salmon ladders, cliff hangers, tilted ladders; all Ninja inspired obstacles! If you are looking for something different to do with your child and want to try a unique way to be active, come check this class out! *ALL fitness levels welcome! All classes are coached by an experienced Ninja Trainer. This class will be held at Conquer Ninja Gyms at 707 Commerce Dr Ste 120, Woodbury, MN 55125.   • Advantage Education - Self-Paced Online ACT Course

    Advantage Educational Programs, in cooperation with Stillwater Area Community Education, will provide students an opportunity to prepare for the ACT national exam through their In-School ACT Prep Course, Virtual ACT Prep Course, or their Online ACT Prep Course. All three courses are designed for students who want to maximize their ACT score, as well as students who feel uneasy about their test-taking skills or are unsatisfied with results from a previous exam. Self-Paced Online ACT Prep Course: This course is designed for students who prefer to prepare for the ACT exam on their own schedule and at their own pace. Instruction is pre-recorded and provided online, using videos and slides. Once enrolled, students may use the access code they receive to navigate through the course on their own timeline throughout the year.

  • Architecture and Design Camp

    Explore the design career field! Learn about architecture and test your design ideas through art, building activities, and design challenges, with exploration through architectural models. This class was developed in collaboration with local Twin Cities designers. We will introduce students to the 3D design tool TinkerCAD to plan and design their architectural creations. Create fun designs to complete different architectural CAD challenges.
  • Art Academy

    Does your child love art? Painting, drawing, clay- it’s all awesome! We will experiment with many techniques, materials and styles as we make snow globes, paint on canvas, create clay characters and more. Come ready to have an artsy good time in this highly anticipated camp!
  • Awesome Robotics

    Working in pairs and fostering their natural curiosity, kids will explore logic, pattern recognition, and math concepts as they are challenged to build increasingly sophisticated designs. As they do so, they’ll also develop basic programming techniques using custom-made programming blocks in PCs. They will have hands-on experience effectively using gears, axles, and connector blocks in the robotic challenges. (No LEGO® is taken home)
  • Base Camp at Fort Snelling

    Base Camp offers so many options that we couldn’t pick just one. You’ll get to make several attempts to scale the rock climbing wall or hit a bullseye at the indoor archery range.   • Beadtivity

    Would you like to make some jewelry this summer? Do you like working with beading materials? Whether you have an idea in mind or you would like to just create, join us for some time to craft, listen to music and spend time with each other. There will be ideas for jewelry making as well as items you can just create with, as you wish.
  • Biomimicry Design Camp

    Explore the homes and anatomy of critters and plants to sketch and then build possible solutions for global problems. We will go deep into observation mode outdoors to learn from nature, and each day, we will learn and try a new method that biomimeticists use for developing prototypes. Grown-ups invited to a design gallery on the last day, from 3:30-4:00 pm.

    Birthday Parties at Oak-Land Pool

    Bring your child and up to fourteen of his/her friends to celebrate their birthday at the Pony Activity Center (PAC), Early Childhood Family Center (ECFC) or Oak-Land Middle School for a pool party. Birthday groups will have access to one gym for 1.5 hours with 30 minute reserved space for cake and refreshments. Pool birthday parties will have use of the pool for 1.25 hours with 45 minute reserved space for cake and refreshments. There will be staff on site to assist with setup/cleanup of equipment and answer any questions you may have during the party. Appropriate supervision of children (at least 2 adults) is required and must be present for the duration of the party. All food and refreshments are provided by the hosting birthday party group. Tables and chairs will be provided for food and refreshments. Latex balloons are not allowed for birthday parties due to allergies. Registration must be completed 14 days prior to the party date. Cancellations must be made two weeks prior to the party to receive a refund minus the $5 cancellation fee. All children attending the birthday party will need a signed waiver turned in before the birthday party begins. PAC Birthday Parties are intended for children ages 4-12 years of age. Gym games and activities may include: basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, whiffle ball, football and more. The staff will provide the necessary equipment; the host will organize and direct the party games. Parties available on select Saturdays and Sundays. Cost is $100 per party at the PAC. ECFC Birthday Parties are intended for children ages 2-6 years of age. We will provide hula hoops, scooters, trikes, play balls, small basketball hoops, gymnastics mats for tumbling, and access to our move and learn climbing town. Parties available on select Saturdays. Time of birthday party is dependent on building schedule. Cost: $155.00 at ECFC / 14 children max / 2 adults must be present for duration of party supervising the group of children. Pool Birthday Parties are intended for children ages 5-12 years of age. One Lifeguard will be provided and 2 adults must be present for the duration of the party. Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed. No rafts, tubes or super-soakers. The Lifeguard will provide life jackets if needed; the host will organize and direct the party games. Parties available on select Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Cost is $225 per party at Oak-Land Middle School.     Glitter, sequins and jewels, oh my! We will bedazzle all the art projects we craft in this camp. We’ll make tons of sparkly projects including bracelets, glittery snow globes, and a jewelry box. We will even glitter-fy our fingernails! The kids will learn different art terms and techniques as they work with air-dry clay, Model Magic®, watercolors and more.

    Build It! Code It! Move It! all with the Micro:Bit robot and coding platform. Students will construct and code robots to move, sense their environment, participate in challenges, and more using Micro:Bit.

    This course is for all skill levels. Learn the basics of the Rubik's Cube mastering one layer at a time or elevate your cubing with speed solving techniques. Build cube mosaics, explore bluetooth cubes, a variety of twisty puzzles, build a cube solving robot, and compete for prizes! Cubes and detailed instructions are yours to keep!
