  • Knots for Fly Fishing

    You’ve traveled 45 minutes to fish this water. You;ve caught a couple of fish but you’ve stepped on your leader, abraded it on the rocks, and broken off several flies. Your leader is a mess. You could rebuild it if only you could remember the knots. Like it or not, you're done fishing. You need two knots in order to go fly fishing. This two hour class will teach you those plus a couple of others and give you plenty of practice on each one. You will be a knot tying expert. During the forty plus years that instructor Mike has been teaching fly fishing skills, teaching knot tying has always been among his favorite skill sets.
  • Beginning Fly Casting

    This is a comprehensive casting class consisting of two lessons: you will learn anchored and aerialized casting and line management. At times you will be frustrated but you will have fun and will be able to cast thirty feet….guaranteed! The instructor Mike is the former owner of Bob Mitchell’s Fly Shop and has been teaching fly fishing and casting since 1980.
