Classic T'ai Chi Ch'uan
T’ai Chi Ch’uan is an ancient Chinese mind-body practice to improve the health of mind and body through relaxation and body movement. This class is based on traditional teachings passed down from teacher to student through an established lineage. Each class begins with warmups and energy moving exercises. Emphasis is on the importance of relaxation, proper body posture and breathing and accurate body mechanics. During the course you will learn a short form comprised of various postures. At the completion of the course, you will have a foundation of the principles and practices of Classical T'ai Chi Ch’uan.
John Feely has been studying and teaching various forms of Eastern Martial Arts for the past 25 years. He studies classical T’ai Chi Ch’uan with nationally recognized Sifu Ray Hayward and advanced martial arts with World Grand Master Wai Lun Choi. John is a formal disciple of Sifu Ray Hayward within the direct lineage to the Yang family, which is the T’ai Chi Ch’uan style that is most widely practiced in the world today.
