Intro to Yin Yoga

Slow-moving (yin) yoga is gentle and safe for most individuals and addresses stiffness in the joints, connective tissues and muscles. Many of the yin yoga postures are practiced on the floor and held for an extended period, usually two to three minutes. Holding poses allows muscles and connective tissues to gently and safely extend. Participants are guided in breathing practices throughout the class bringing about balance and calmness to body and mind. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle, yoga mat or blanket.
