Successful Composting

Compost is called ‘black gold’ by gardeners because it is so beneficial to your gardens. Composting converts waste plant material, such as grass clippings and leaves to a very useful organic soil amendment. Many homeowners are finding it convenient and economical to compost kitchen scraps, as well. The finished compost can be used as mulch or as a soil amendment to improve garden soil. This class will help you learn how to build, maintain, and troubleshoot a compost pile, as well as uses for the finished compost in your yard and gardens.
