Emergency Care- COVID-19

First responder/medical/law enforcement professionals are needed now more than ever. Stillwater Area Public Schools will support this effort by providing child care for health care workers and first responders. Please note, in an effort to maintain smaller circles of contact -- if you have the option turn to those alternatives. This care is solely to be used while performing essential work. Keeping emergency childcare sites small and spread out will help us keep them as safe as possible for those children whose families cannot find another child care alternative.

The list of employees eligible for child care can be found at this LINK. At this time, we will be approving essential staff at the Tier One level. After we see where numbers are at, we will open up to Tier 2 starting April 1 on a first come, first serve basis as space is available.

Before your childcare contract is accepted, you will be asked to verify your employment. If you have already sent us a letter and your employment has been confirmed, we will accept your registration right away. If you still need to verify employment eligibility, please send us a letter from your employer on the company’s letterhead which includes the following information:

  • Your name (first and last)
  • Your title
  • Hours and days you are required to work
  • Name, title, contact information and signature of the person creating the letter

This can be sent to Alexa Hansen at hansenalexa@stillwaterschools.org
